Laura Bromberg Kreiger, LCSW

My approach is empathic and supportive to help each client work through their difficulties. I have experience doing psychotherapy with adolescents and women who have a variety of concerns and specialize in working with Eating Disorders, Postpartum Stress and Anxiety. I tailor the therapy to best meet the needs of each client by using aspects of Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral and Relational Theory. I am a Past President of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP) South Florida. In addition, I am one of only two therapists in the Boca Raton area who has been officially certified by the Academy of Cognitive Therapy.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Washington University in St. Louis and received my Master's Degree from Smith College. I then completed a one-year intensive training program in Cognitive Therapy at The University of Pennsylvania as well as a postgraduate training program at The Postpartum Stress Center. I have worked in many therapy settings including FAU Student Counseling and Psychological Services, The Renfrew Center, Laurel Hill Inn Residential Eating Disorder Program, New York Presbyterian Hospital, Brigham & Women's Faulkner Hospital, and The Women's Therapy Center.

I have been an invited lecturer on Women's Issues at The National Association of Addiction Counselors, FAU, The National Association of Social Workers, The Jewish Community Center of the Palm Beaches and other community
groups. I am currently in private practice in Boca Raton, Florida.
